Day-Tour to the Egyptian Museum & the Pyramids
Our car will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the "Egyptian Museum" (the tour does not include the Mummies Room). Here a vast treasure of numerous objects made of gold, bronze, alabaster, silver and more from Egypt's most glamorous times are exhibited. In the afternoon, after lunch in a local restaurant we set course to Egypt's emblem: The Giza Pyramids! Also in front of the famous Sphinx you will be able to join the excitement of millions of people who have been admiring these spectacular monuments for thousands of years. At the end of the day you will be driven back to your Cairo hotel.
2. In and Around Cairo…
Day-Tour to the Sakkara Pyramids, Memphis, the Salah-el-Din Citadel &the Alabaster Mosque
Pick-up at your Cairo Hotel, after which we will drive you to SAKKARA, the ancient "Necropolis" of the Old Kingdom's Capital, Memphis, where we will visit a few pyramids and tombs, among them the known "Step Pyramid", the oldest known Pyramid. From here we continue to Memphis, Egypt's ancient Capital, with its enormous Temples and Monuments. After a nutritious lunch in a local restaurant we drive along the Nile River's traditional agricultural area to Cairo's Old City, where we visit the Salah-el-Din Citadel, with the famous "Alabaster Mosque" built inside it. Transfer back to your Cairo Hotel.
3. All Faiths Cairo
Day-Tour to Coptic, Jewish & Islamic sites in Cairo
After breakfast we will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Cairo's colorful Old City. Here we first visit the "Hanging Church", one of Egypt's oldest churches, built already in the 3rd Century! The church, which became the seat of the Coptic Pope in the 11th century, is also famous for its ancient icons, dating back to the 8th century. The "Hanging Church" is built into the walls of the "Babylon Fort" which used to control the crafts sailing from the Lower to the Middle Nile. We will visit the Roman Babylon Fort, built of typical red & white masonry. We will also visit the nearby Ben Ezra Synagogue, famous for its "Geniza" (Religious Storage Room) with a vast treasure of Jewish manuscripts. Legend has it that it was here Moses was hidden among the reeds of the Nile River. Now we visit Sultan Hassan Mosque, known for its special, extravagant architecture and the 19th-century Al Rifa'i Mosque, built on the ancient pilgrimage-site of the holy Al Rifa'i. After lunch in a local restaurant we can enjoy the "Old Islamic Panorama" at the Al Moaz street before driving back to our hotel.
4. The best of Alexandria
Day-Tour to Alexandria City
After pick-up from your hotel it takes approx. 3 hours drive to reach the glorious Alexandria City. We begin with the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, where we can see a merging of the ancient Roman and Egyptian Cultures. We will also visit the Bombay Pillar and the Roman Theater before we visit the National Museum of Alexandria, where historical artifacts from all over Egypt are exhibited in an Italian-style palace. After lunch in a local restaurant we shall not miss, of course, the Royal Alexandria Library, still famous today, as it was in antiquity. Drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
